Volunteer for the Christmas Bureau
The Christmas Bureau is an annual holiday assistance program to provide grocery vouchers and toys to at-risk families.
The program is made possible by generous monetary funds and volunteer hours donated by community members and organizations.
Donate Wreath Supplies
The young adults at our Young Adult Shelter want to create handmade holiday wreaths and decorations to deck the halls for the residents in our Permanent Supportive Housing Program.
We’re collecting craft supplies: wreath forms, ribbon, greenery, ornaments, glue guns, pinecones, and other festive touches.
Your Generosity Can Change Lives
Not long ago, a young girl arrived at our Crosswalk Youth Shelter with nothing but determination and a small bag of belongings. Her dream was to become a firefighter, so our InReach case manager helped her enroll in Spokane Community College’s Fire Science Technician Program. Because of your generosity, we purchased the expensive tactical gear, boots, belt, and textbooks she needed to take her first step.
Today, she’s keeping a 3.0 GPA, earned a scholarship from the fire department to continue her studies, and is completing intake for behavioral health services to keep her on track. She’s living in stable housing, building a life grounded in strength, stability, and hope!
When a young person has access to education, mental health care, and safe housing, their story changes forever.
