Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2023!
As you celebrate the graduates in your life, and you exclaim your joy as they throw their caps in the air and prepare for the next stage of life; think of all the work that went into your graduate achieving their degree. The time, the hours of study and the support of family and friends.
VOA is reflecting on the hard work of our GED graduates. We are celebrating the accomplishments of our determined youth who have worked hard to complete their studies while facing additional obstacles. Our graduates have demonstrated remarkable tenacity and we have to share some of their stories!
We have to tell you about Ben. He commuted 45 minutes each way to work with our amazing GED instructor to complete his certificate. After a few weeks, he passed and enrolled at Spokane Community College to work in the IT field. Madison, was living at Crosswalk Youth Shelter while completing her GED. Weeks of studying paid off to and she not only graduated but, received a scholarship to complete her career certification as a certified yoga instructor.
These impressive young people are only a few in our record-breaking graduation year. Please remember those who are overcoming additional obstacles to achieve their goals…. Can you help one student achieve their educational dreams?
