DESCRIPTION:This March\, join us for Mardi Bras\, a super fun and impactful event coinciding with Mardi Gras\, to “lift” those in need across our community. Together with our amazing partner\, Transitions\, we’re collecting bras\, undergarments\, and hygiene products for individuals in all of our shelters. \nHere’s how you can join us in support: \nDrop off your donations at our designated location (date and location TBA) \nFind donation bins conveniently placed throughout the city (we will have a list for you shortly) \nGet creative and host your very own Mardi Bras party to gather items with friends\, family and coworkers! \nFor details on hosting a party\, reach out to sscott@voaspokane.org

SUMMARY:Bridget Cannon Celebration of Life
DESCRIPTION:It is with profound sadness that I share with you the loss of our one and only\, Bridget Cannon\, VP of Program Operations.  She was a friend\, an ally\, a mentor\, a fierce advocate for youth people\, and most importantly one of the best humans you’ll ever meet.  She was quick to laugh\, was the best storyteller and loved adventure.   \nHer love for VOA and the people in our doors was proven every day she stepped through them.  For 32 years\, Bridget Cannon came to VOA to ensure that young people had what they needed to thrive\, and she stopped at nothing to provide it.   \nBridget was not only a colleague\, but a true friend and had a profound impact on us as human beings by teaching us how to do this work with intensity\, honesty and fierceness. \nAs a VOA family\, we are holding space to grieve Bridget’s loss.  We know many of you will be doing the same.
