"Go wherever we are needed and do whatever comes to hand.”
This was the pledge made by Ballington and Maud Booth when they founded Volunteers of America. We arrived in the Inland Northwest in the fall of 1896. Now, 113 years later, these words still define us as we continue our legacy of responding to the needs of homeless and runaway youth, veterans, homeless women, men returning from prison, foster youth, people with disabilities and those searching for affordable housing. Our organization is strengthened by the commitment of hundreds of employees, volunteers and partners working toward real change.
