At Volunteers of America — one of the region's oldest and most diversified human service charities — our specialty is helping those who need our help the most. Since 1896, our ministry of service has supported and empowered the Inland Northwest’s most vulnerable groups, including:

  • homeless & street youth
  • families in crisis
  • homeless women & veterans
  • at-risk & low-income children
  • children & adults with chronic mental illness

Our work starts with the basics — caring for, supporting and sheltering people that most of society has forgotten. But we don’t stop there. People don’t really get back on their feet until their self-worth has been restored, until they start believing in themselves and what they can accomplish. That’s what our programs are all about.
