Aston-Bleck Apartments are transitional-living apartments for young mothers and their children. Volunteers are needed to help with childcare, yard work, tutoring or upkeep projects and to serve as positive role model/mentors. Volunteers must be 21 or older and able to pass a background check.

Flaherty House Clerical Assistant
Location: Flaherty House
Date/Time Commitment: 2 hour shifts once a week between 1pm-9pm, Th-Sun
Flaherty House is a transitional living program for five 18-21 year old men. Volunteers are needed to help with administrative work such as copying, typing, updating files, data entry, etc. Volunteers must be 21 or older and able to pass a background check.

Crosswalk Receptionist

Front desk receptionists are needed for 2 hour shifts between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Volunteers must be 21 or over and able to pass a background check.

Crosswalk Meal Provider
Location: Crosswalk Teen Shelter
Date/Time Commitment: Varies
Groups of 3-5 people are needed to help prepare and serve a meal for our teens. Volunteers provide the food that they serve. Amount of teens: weekday lunches 35-40 people, weekend lunches or all dinners 25-30 people.

Hope House Volunteer
Location: Hope House Women's Shelter

Hope House provides an overnight shelter and permanent housing for single, homeless women, ages 18 and over. Volunteers are needed to help in the emergency shelter in the mornings or evenings. Volunteers must be 18 or over and able to pass a background check.

Location: Project Safe Place (Coeur d' Alene, ID)

Drop-In Teen Center Volunteer needed for Project Safe Place. Volunteers must be over 21 and able to pass a background check. Lead rec activities, assist with tutoring, hang out with teens, teach a skil/talent, provide a meal.

Crosswalk Evening Volunteer
Location: Crosswalk Teen Shelter
Date/Time Commitment: 5pm to 9pm once a week for a minimum of 6 months.
Volunteers provide supervision and interact with our teens (ex: talk, play games, watch movies, etc…) Volunteers must be able to commit to a four hour evening shift once a week for a minimum of 6 months, attend a training and be 21 or over and able to pass a background check.

Foster Youth to 21 Mentoring Program
Location: Spokane
Date/Time Commitment: At least 2 hours a month.
Become a mentor for a teenager or young adult who is in foster care. Help them with homework, take them to lunch, or simply listen to their story. Volunteers must be 21 or older and able to pass a background check.

Independent Living Childcare Assistant

Assist with childcare while parents attend independent living groups to learn how to improve both their lives and the lives of their children. Volunteers must be 21 or older and able to pass a background check.

Volunteers are needed to teach a life skill such as resume building, budgeting, interview techniques, filling out college applications, etc. Always open to suggestions as well. Volunteers must be 21 or older and able to pass a background check.

Location: Flaherty House
Date/Time Commitment: Weekdays: 6-9pm one evening a week, Weekend: 3 hour shift, one day a week, weekend times are flexible.
Flaherty House is a transitional living ptogram for young men 18-21. Volunteers are needed to interact with the young men through activities such as board games, movies, music, etc. as well as simply spending time with them and building relationships. Volunteers must be 21 or older and able ot pass a background check.
